The set is comprised of three parts divided into four volumes. The major part, Curatos, is in two volumes, and presents a list of towns and parishes in the Philippines with their parish priests, as gleaned from a series of yearbooks published between 1834 and 1898. A companion volume, Curas, catalogues the names of the parish priests included in the previous listings, with selected biographical data and sources as these are available. A User's Guide helps the researcher navigate through the volumes. Curas de Almas hopes to aid in the preparation of local histories, and to provide a more personal appreciation of the curates who guided the Filipinos in the last century of Spanish colonization.
